For Educators

Step One: Registration/Scheduling

Registration Request Form

Please fill out this form to request a field trip.  A TriStar Experience representative will contact once the form has been processed.

Step Two: Plan Your Visit

1-3 Months Prior to Visit

  • Secure date
  • Receive and Submit Invoice for processing
  • Submit request for transportation (include address/map/information regarding bus drivers having to be on the plane—they can’t stay in the bus)
  • Secure volunteers and assign them their station.  Give them volunteer access code so they can review their materials.  If you prefer, you may copy the volunteer materials to send out to the parents for review.  Our suggestion is to have them review the materials digitally first and then shortly before your trip, send them the print copy to bring along with them on the day of the trip.  We will have copies available for them at each station as well.

1 Week Prior to Visit

  • Remind students to bring along a sack lunch and water in their lunches
  • Complete the rotation chart that was emailed to you at the time of your visit confirmation.
  • Prepare gallon size zipper bags with student names written on the outside.  These will be used to collect student work throughout the day.  Guests will carry them with them from module to module.
  • Make copies of the module assignment and rotation sheets to give to each parent.  We will also have copies posted in various areas of the plane prior to your visit for reference throughout the day.

Day of Visit

  • Arrive at the parking lot at your scheduled time.  A Tristar Representative will be waiting to assist you.  If you find yourself there ahead of schedule, please contact one of the numbers at the bottom of the map for assistance.
  • Should there be any changes to the schedule (ie—bus needs to leave early, etc.) please notify a TriStar Experience representative so that we can adjust the schedule to best meet your needs.
  • Social Media:  We love for you to share your experiences on the TriStar Experience plane throughout your day and immediately following your trip.  Please be sure to tag us in your posts!
  • LUNCH-Lunch will be in the forward cabin on the aircraft.  Students are welcome to use the tray tables.  We ask that teachers please monitor behavior during this time to ensure that students are seated and using inside voices.  There will be hand sanitizer available for use both before and after eating.  If there are allergies that might restrict where students can sit, please make sure that you designate a sitting area for those students and wash down the tray tables both before and after.  TriStar Representatives will have wipes that you are welcome to use.  A TriStar Representative will help you gather student trash after lunch.  Students will need to wipe down their tray tables and put them away to prepare for the last module.
  • Loading bus and picture.  Weather permitting, we will take a picture of your entire group outside the airplane just before you load the bus to head back to school.  Please be aware that we are at a working airport, so students should only go to the area just to the bottom of the ramp steps for the picture.  Teachers and adults should be supervising the students at all times.
