For Volunteers
Thank you for coming to TriStar Experience to serve as a volunteer.
Your help is vital to helping students have a strong learning experience while aboard the L1011. During the visit, volunteers will guide and assist students as they maneuver through three main modules. Your teacher leaders should have assigned you a specific module and a specific activity within that module. For groups who have limited parent volunteers, you might be asked to familiarize yourself with the various activities within the entire module so that you can be flexible if you have to assist with several of the activities. Volunteers should rely on their teacher leaders to notify them of their specific responsibilities.

Directions
152 to 29 HWY towards St. Joseph and KCI Airport. Take Exit 12 to NW112th Street. At the exit ramp light, turn left. You will go past the KCPD firehouse, past the Smith and Jet Midwest building. All parents who drive themselves will have to park in the parking lot (see blue arrow). There will be a box lift truck with the TriStar Airplane pictured on the side. The bus should pull in there and pick up all parents before pulling up to Gate 12. Parent cars will not be allowed on the tarmac or inside the secure area. Once you are all loaded on the bus, you will come to the chain link fence and security gate. Please leave room for the escort car to pull through the gate and get in front of the bus. Wait there for Kerry Floyd or airport security and he/they will escort you inside the gate and to the TriStar Plane. No adults or students will be able to stay on the tarmac during the field trip. This includes bus drivers. We will not always be able to accommodate parents who want to leave at varying times. For safety purposes, we have to have a secure escort on and off the tarmac. Everyone will be on the plane or outside the gate. The lead teacher will be the one to call the numbers below to let them know you have arrived.
